Unhappy poor ram performance.

hey guyz,my config:
athlon 64 3200+ on asus a8ne,
nvidia 6600 gfx,
segate 160 gb sata,
2*512 mb ddr 400 transcend ram.@2.5-3-3-8 cr2
bu even then,in everest 2006 i get the foll scores:
mem read-around 5100
mem write-aroud 1600
mem latency-around 55ns on 1st try and 34 ns on second.
but ive seen some members in this forum get much higher scores with the same ram. so what may be causing my ram to give such low scores? they are configured in dual channel.

Memory read is a little below average, memory latency is amazing, but memory write is really low. Some program must be interfering with the benchmarking process. Shut all programs from the Task manager and try again.

For reference, on my 2*512 MB DDR400 Transcend @3-3-3-8 CR1, I get:
Mem. read : 5926
Mem. write : 5134
Mem. copy : 4615
Mem. latency : 56.4

It must be some programs in the background

Just start the taskmanager and turn off the unneccesary programs

or try services.msi or msconfig
