Default processes in task manager


hi friends

i use win xp pro sp2.it takes about one minute for shut down.i have noticed in task manager number of processes running.

what r all these processes?which r essential?how to identify the same so that i can close\end task others.will some body help and advice me in this regard?

well which are minmum required processes to be running in task manager?so that i can delete\end task others?

There is nothing like maximum & minimum processes.It depends upon the type of services you need.
Say for example you use a device that supports infrared,for that purpose you need to have the "Infrared Monitor" service running.Same may not be the case with someone else.
Just post the screenshot of taskmanager with the Processes tab.

basically its not processes but services which need to be switched off .. if not required
digit mag has covered this topic ample number of times

It runs the services which is a process at the background, use the command "services.msc" wihtout quote at run and see which one is necessary for ur system and turn off those u dont need!!
