Default Single Core or Dual core?


which processor should i go for?

AMD 3200+ single core

OR

Pentium D (dual core)

my vendor said pntium d 2.66 Ghz (dual ) is better than amd n vista ll run slow on amd and all that .......

can any1 pls tell me major diff between 1 core n 2 cores pro..s ??

also which 1 is better??

amd processors are said to give better performance
the core speed would be definitely high for intel but if u plan to buy for gaming go for amd and a good graphics card

Pentium D is definitely better than AMD 3200+ but currently there are no games that support dual core. Video editing, Imaging etc. might be better on a dual core.
