IS this actual speed!

Today i tested my Bsnl Broadband Home plan 500 speed at Dslreports.com and results i got were really surprising one my IP Bsnl said that my plans speed is 256 kbps but my speed test were performing more than that i.e the results were showing 259 Kbps ..!
My question is do these results r right............... if ur answer is yes than is this example of +100% efficent .

Mine BSNL home 500(256kbps):-------------test result 259kbps/54kbps
Members plz post your DSL speeds ... for knowing who is having fastest one .......................................

Yup.. a lil up and down is quite normal.. 259 is no big deal.. Sometimes you may even get 300 kbps..

ur upload speed suggests it aint a DSL, rather an ADSL.. its quite strange!!
