Cool help needed urgent.....Ram


hi all

i am having 256Mb of Ram @266Mhz planning to buy 512 Mb@333 (on monday22 may) . can i use 333 and 266 at same time or u advice me to just use 333Mhz Ram .My 256 Mb is hynix please suggest me what to do and which comp ram to buy

my mobo do not support speeds greater than 333Mhz

if you use 333MHz ram with 266MHz, your new ram 333MHz will work only at 266MHz speed. ( ram speed is decided buy the lowest speed ram you are using) .
buy 333MHz ram and try to sell that old ram to the dealer. In most case dealer adjust that money in new ram which your buy from him

the ram will scale down its speed to 266mhz.Hynix brand is OK,offers decent performace and quality,other brands u can try kingston,they are affordable too.
