I want to change the extention of a word file to exe but i cant by just renaming it. It can be done by going in dos mode and using rename command but there must be a way to directly change the extention in XP. Is there any way i can do it?

first you will have to go to the forlder options and DISABLE

(or something like that. sorry i'm still on win98se)
then simply rename the file as you do it.
It will change the extention
