preview of mpeg files disabled!!! help

Recently when i was fidling around with the 'file types' in folder options, i changed the 'open with' of mpeg end mpg files from PowerDVD to MediaPlayer that came with k-lite codec pack. From then on, when i use the 'thumbnails' option in 'views' i dont get the picture of the first frame in that video that was earlier available. Can anyone help me out on this. how to reset it?
I've tried reinstalling PowerDVD and K-lite but it never worked...

Why not u again goto "Folder Options" and there should be a "Restore" button for "mpeg" & "mpg" filetypes, click on that button and it'll restore the application attached to it!

If its not there then simply assign Power DVD again to these filetypes as u did for Media Player...
