Default 500-550Watt SMPS of Reliable brand

For my PC (config. is Intel 3GHz Dual core Proc. Intel 945 GNT MoBo, 1GB RAM, 160GB Seagate SATA HD,) I have e-Life 500Watt SMPS. I am not satisfied with the performance of the SMPS and want to purchase a reliable brand. Antec(550watt costing Rs. 7300/-) is too pricey to me.Can anybody suggest a good reliable brand.

Does your PC suffer from random reboots, crashes or shutdowns (especially while gaming)?

Recently after a continuous 6-7 hour run the e-Life SMPS stopped working(the fan was not running). I took the SMPS to the Service Centre. They serviced it. When I fitted it and tried to start my PC the brand new Seagate SATA Hard Disc's ICD chip got burnt. Now Seagate refused to cover warranty. My assembler is saying that the e-Life SMPS is not a good one. Can SMPS be the culprit behind this burn. If yes then please suggest a reliable alternative brand. I need 500-550 watt SMPS.

@ drvarunmehta
But before this incident my one month old PC ran without any problem; no random reboots, crashes or shutdowns even at the time of video encoding.

Go for an Antec, if u want the best or choose VIP if u want price value with performance. Zeebronics is also a good one.
