Default FTP???


Hi guyz,
can u plz tell me what is FTP?
I have heard that its a protocol (File transfer protocol) and we can download heavy files through it...But how
pranavrahul is offline

Just type the ftp:// URL in your browser and d/l the files u require. Or better use FTP clients like FlashFXP, CuteFTP, SmartFTP etc...

In very very plain words, HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) was made mainly for displaying pages and not downloading files. But for convenience it had to be given download/upload functionality.

FTP is mainly for transfering files. So it is more efficient at doing.
