Default What about my Avast Home Edition?

I am using Avast Home Edition and its On-access scanner. Is it suited for P.C? Do I need another products like AVG, MacAfee, Norton etc., and which one is better?

I think your Avast Home Edition is good enough if you update it regularly.
If you doubt the efficacy of your antivirus please specify the nature of your doubt.

"update the definition files"

Without updated definition files any cmpany virus is useless, and if u keep them updated then avast is a nice option to go with!

Never use more than one AntiVirus software on your system. It causes nothing but harm to both your system resources as well as your security. Avast is a good free AntiVirus but if compared with AVG 7 (which is also free), it lacks in detection capabilities of very small margin. To check out a detailed comparison of the detection capabilities of various AntiVirus software, I would recommend the following test result

Ok as you say
You are wrong. Plural of Virus is Viruses.

its better to get avast! proffessional edition if u r using ur PC in business.
but for home use, avast free edition is the BEST.
I don't know abt any AV softwares coz i never used that!

If you don't know about and never used an AV, what do you mean by giving such suggestions?
