Default STOP MESSAGE CODE

Sometimes while working on Win XP, the PC hangs and the blue screen appears with the following error message:

"Kernel_data_inpage_error

STOP: 0x0000007A (0xE1524454, 0xC0000C0E, 0xBF9053BC, 0x1809A860)

Win32k.sys_address BF9053BC base at BF800000, Datestamp 3b7de698

Beginning dump of physical memory."

I searched on d net about this problem but couldnt find a solution. Please help me out with this. My PC config is 512 MB RAM, 40 GB HDD, 2.5 Ghz, P 4.

Thanks,

Nitish

The following are all common causes of STOP Messages 0x00000077 and 0x0000007A:

1. The paging file contained a bad block.
2. If the page file is on a SCSI device, the trap could have been caused by improper termination.
3. Bad cabling from hard disk to controller.
4. An error on the disk controller.
5. Running out of non-paged pool resources on the server.

If the Stop message mentions the file Win32k.sys, the source of the error might be a third-party "remote control" program. If such software is installed, you might be able to disable it by starting the system in safe mode. If not, use Recovery Console to manually delete the system service file that is causing the problem. However, this was info provided for stop 0x0000001E error...
