Ad-hoc
I've got a desktop and notebook.
They're both supposidely connected to a network, but i can't ping em, and they both behave like 802.11b when they ar 802.11g (proper drivers installed).
Help please ...

Try out computer names and the workgroups they are on.. and ip configurations.. there are many possibilities to this malfunction...

These are different specifications for IEEE 802.11.There are three specifications IEEE 802.11a,IEEE 802.11b and IEEE802.11g.
The 802.11a standard uses the 5 GHz band.The 802.11b and 802.11g standards use the 2.4 GHz band.
