Default 128MB=122MB????


resently i won the Kingsten 128Mb USB drive from digit...so when i tryed it ...i found out that in the Properties window that the size is shown to b 12KB used and 122MB free...as a matter of fact i am using it for the 1st time..so am confused if its a 128MB stick where is my remaning 6 MB??

also after some data transfer i formated it ..now the size is showning to 121MB only..
is it that am loosing 1 MB/day???

plz plz help me out.....

no, no. its just that a bit of ur memory is being used (shared) by the onboard graphics chip. its perfectly alright. don't worry.

hmm.....

according to manufacturers 1mb =1000kb

not the actual 024 kb ,so that might be the reason for the missing MB's.

chek it out anyways.any probs then im on yahoo...............

Ur RAM is shared with Motherboard Graphics Card.

U Have Onboard Graphics Card. So its sharing with it.

Dont think So, In Today's world 128 is enough

Upgrade to 512

ever heard of an USB RAM? he's rerring to his usb pen-drive u drilled donkeys(i wonder if anyone got it ).
btw, i think the soln lies in what nikhilesh said. if u hv been using this pc for some time & r using ur usb port for this first time, check for newer motherboard drivers from ur manufacturer's website. the soln may lie there.

ya ppl its pen drive not ram ya 1000 = 1mb for manufacturers so dont worry its ok.

DUDES!!! Atleast try to read the whole post!!!!

As far as your problem is concerned ... I think it is normal...
You don't always get what is labelled...
My 10GB harddisk isn't exactly 10GB it is around 9.8GB

I thought of RAM & Motherboard..

I do have a USB Pen drive, 128 MB but while plugging in it shows 126 MB ,, Dunoo why !

Might be not working on full capacity

Guide me for this too
