Refrain from worthless trolling in an otherwise clean Software update thread. You don't expect people to change their opinion and defaults by an unreasonable rant. Do You? Download Accelerator Plus for that matter has been certified as infected with adwares and the adware free version comes for a price contrary to FDM which is totally free and performs its function well.

Thanks for the heads up naveenchandran .

See,fdm is the best now...
with all the added features i dont think there's any need for any paid download manager....
Fdm does the job as good as any paid one..so why waste bucks???
However getright might do well other than fdm,simply because of its bittorrent downloading capability....
The getright-6 version which is beta stage is doing very well with my bittorrent downloads...
u may try: getright.invisionzone.com...thats their forum...

Free Download Manager 2.0 is released -- Great

Quote:
FDM is an indispensable tool for download acceleration. It splits files into several sections and then downloads them simultaneously allowing you to increase your download speed up to 600%.

This software application can be used in automatic mode. You can schedule the following operations: set or hang up the Internet connection, exit from the program and shutdown the computer. All the operations mentioned above can be set at the specified time.

FDM allows adjusting traffic usage. So it provides you with an opportunity to browse web pages much faster if you use a low connection speed.

System requirements:
* Microsoft Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP
* IE5.0 and above or better FireFox or Opera 6x - 9x
Direct Download: http://files.freedownloadmanager.org/fdminst.exe
FDM ver. 2.0 (1583 Kb, setup)
