Default browser not identifying applets


recently while trying to download\upgrade a software for which iam paying annual fees an error appeared as above.then i wrote to their system administrator pointing the same. they advised me to check your browser setting.

i am using win xp sp2\i.e 6

can somebody help?is it got something to do with java?

It has everything to do with java.

First trash ie and go for firefox. (Just kidding)

There will be some setting in ie to enable java.

Or try reinstalling the java runtime environment.

For IE browser, go to Tools->Interner Options->
Advanced (tab) and check the checkbox 'Use JRE 1.5.0
for <applet>. Click Ok and restart the browser.
First of all check whether you have installed JRE!!
If not download and install it from http://java.sun.com

i have installed JRE v 1.42 and the same is enabled also,still the same error appears while downloading.
