its very different from p2p like kazaa and shareaza or emule etc

And its bit-torrent.

Made/designed by bram cohen. It was basically started as a way to reduce server load,

there are a few pictures on his site, let me link them

Normally when u download from a server , this is what happens.



U can see the central server, sendint packets/data to all the clients.


whereas , if u use BT[bit torrent]

man i love bit torrent.. fro mthe time i have got the mtnl unlimited internet connection... my pc`s been on... 24/7..hehehehehe.....

yeah Torrents rock.. downloaded GB's and GB's of stuff from torrent (Troy,Spiderman2,SkyCaptain, Shrek2,I-Robot, Doom3,couple of music albums)
its pretty good... but finding working torrents can be difficult..
But once hooked it wil be a genuine file...

(ok i also donloaded 2GB of p0rn hehe...)

godzi introduced me to it. Its the best way to download large files on dial ups without get corrupt files.
