Install K-Lite Mega Codec Pack. and then burn the vcd using nero, it auto converts the file and burns as a vcd.

What is the size & duration of the movie.

If you have two parts of xvid .. then Nero can make a VCD for each
If you have morethan 80min single xvid then nero cant help
then use Xilisoft AVI MPEG converter or TMPGEnc.

Its a little different .. Its basically used to convert to KVCD
audio needs to be converted seperatly

Use Xilisoft AVI MPEG Converter .. its very user friendly & easy to use
It will convert audio too

Download: http://www.xilisoft.com/avi-mpeg-converter.html

nishant_nms tell the detail of video so that i can tell you exactly

The best option, I think, is NeroVision Express.

Ok .. thats fine ... now .. use the Xilisoft i have used it, was suggested by a member earlier .. its good.
Use NTSC 352X240, 23.956 fps .. dont change the frame rate.
Almost all the DVD players can read both ntsc & pal.
you can try KVCD for advaced ripping... if its a english movie you can squeez it in a single CD by reducing the bitrate.
find KVCD guide from google latter on.
but for now use the standard bitrate.

This is what I do:

1) Split the file using VirtualDub. See this http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/arch...virtualdub.cfm

2) Convert to mpg using TMPEnc.

3) Burn with NERO.
