Skype with video is really better than the older versions. it is much faster and more stable than the other versions.

it's chat is also too good. it is light on the system and voice conversations are very clear. it also works well with dialup connections. even video conferencing works very well.

i recently used skype video....i must say the audio quality was good and the frame rates were around 25-30...i had never experience video @ those kinda frame rates bfore...so it was cool. the size was also not too small. i was using yahoo for audio chat for past 6 years. but now i use skype. it cnnects faster than yahoo and even the audio n video chat is established faster than yahoo!
