bitcomet and proxy

Hi,

I am behind a firewall and am using windows XP. I downloaded bitcomet, torrent software and tried som torrents after configuring the proxy as i would do for my browser. but, it dint start download., could any1 pls help me in configuring bitcomet for the proxy. thk u.

the tracker connection timer keeps gettin reset nothing else

Did you created a rule in your firewall to allow the software to access the net ..?

well ....... my problem is tht my coll uses cyberoam to contol acces to the internet

Do you have a proxy firewall or just a simple firewall? If its simple, then you dont need any proxy settings.

Just check in your firewall whether Bitcomet is allowed as an Exception. By default, bitcomet always does add it automatically, but just check for ensuring.

What icon do you get on beside the torrent? The icon can help you identify whats the real problem.

Maybe there must be no problem with your proxy. There maybe some problem with your NAT or you've not configured your router properly(if you have a router).
