ACI launches Rs.20000 laptop

ACI India has lauched a laptop for just rs.20000
now u cant expect it to be a beast....just a purely functional protable computer

its specs are as follows:
via 1 ghz C3 cpu
128 mb ddr...upgradable to 512 mb
integrated vga, sound, lan, modem
40 gb hdd
24x cdrom drive
4 usb ports

now except for that the cdrom drive which is a bit slow, the specs are pretty much same like the p3 pc i had bought 4 years back till i dumped it this yr.
dunno abt its availability, and whether the price is excluding taxes or not, but still its a good deal for students on low budgets who would use the laptop for programming and surfing, etc.
waise aci is also planning to introduce a 9999 bucks laptop but will only limit its availability to students.

Isn't this the same laptop they had launched for around 25-26k a year back?

What I feel is that ACI just revises the prices from time to time.

Btw, i remember this due to the infamous Indiatimes laptop incident. Soura and Sohail will remember it more than anyone
