Default Problems with Y! Messenger

Well my problem is pretty different from the one dscussed below,...ther is no problem for me to login....but whenever I open the messenger or run it at startup, it disconnects my modem (BTB I am using BSNL broadband) and also from net, and when I login to the web-user-control page of the modem, it diplays as "training" or "link down" at the summary page....and when I removed the Y! messenger from startup all problems disappeared..what was the reason....I have been using Y! messenger 7.5 beta for two-three weeks and the problem came day before yesterday....what might be the problem?? I have searched for viruses using PC Cillin 2006 with latest virus patterns as well as using Spybot S&D and they detected nothing.....

if it is hacking please tell me how to defend against it...and I dont think it is hacking, because even if I dont try to connect to net, the modem shows that it is in "training" state.....(when Y! messenger is either executed or on tray)
