No CD can hold 4GB of data.
His CD might be carrying highly compressed data which on decompression may become 4GB.

i think CD's can be specially designed to carry that much data.

Becoz Lata Mangeshkar was gifted with a CD containing all her songs on her Birthday.

Then how come that CD contain that much songs???

N that time, there were no DVD's.

One thing, it was said that the disc was read by a CD drive.
Secondly, the Mini DVD-r used in handycams cannot contain 4GB.
Correct me if wrong.

4 GB !!!How is it possible.

I have 2 normal cds ,data is compressed in such manner that after extracting it becomes nearly 1.5 GB each but 4Gb is too much and also u r saying these cd's are mini size.

@Akhil Jain
Have u seen or checkd it ?
u r friend may be just fooling!!!

it cannot be read by a cd rom
the guy HAS to be mistaken
a mini cd contains max of 210 mb of data ..
the same size dvd contains a few gb's im not sure how much

but under no case is it a cd ... even with overburning option

remember we arent talkin abt windows 3 in 1 which have common files hence multiple links which give cd capacity as 3.14 gb
we're talkin abt a handycam that writs straight on optical media

hence 4gb on a mini cd is OUT of the question

btw miniDVD ram disks are capable of 2.92 gb of data
miniDVD are 1.47gb in capacity
and mini-DVD is used to describe cds with dvd data on them

1. Did you mean Win 3.1? Otherwise pl explain what is Win 3in1.
2. and mini-DVD is used to describe cds with dvd data on them. Is it correct? If so how can it contain 1.47 GB?
Sorry if I am idiotic.

the cd is some local brand termed as hd-cd

(high definition cd)

i have checked it

it contains 4 gb and it is multi session

nero showing 200 mb available capacity

softwares on it are nero ,norton ,games

no chance of cross linking data as in 3in 1 window cd

he says it cost him 25 bucks

it is being read by my lg cd writer

though the speed is very slow
