Default Longhorn... What's all the hype around it???

Whats the reson 4 all the hype around longhorn?? is it gonna be a 64 bit or 32 bit edition? will it be more stylish than windows xp? wat will be the system requirements? has the alpha version really leaked out or is it just a joke? AND the biggest question of all... will we still have to use the three finger salute???

Default Longhorn wil come in 2006

Hi,

I commonly run Longhorn PDC Built in a Virtual PC on a few gigabyte disk image. Perhaps you are confused: WinFS is designed to address the problems of having 1TB storage which will be readily available in the Longhorn timeframe. Hierarchical storage just doesn't scale up to very large disks - heck, I can't find my files on a 60GB drive! : )

Final hardware requirement are a long way off from being decided.

I don't think there have been any announcements for the next Longhorn
Community Technology Preview (CTP). For the record, these CTPs are not Beta releases, they are most definitely pre-Alpha (i.e., not feature complete.) A Beta program will start when the product is more mature and the feature set has stabilized.

However Longhorn was the key center of focus at WinHEC and Also at PDC (Professional Developers Conference) 2003.
