Regarding any other method to safely delete the partition(make sure its a logical or a non-active partition)

1. Go to Start->Run... and type diskmgmt.msc

2. Right click on the desired partition and click "Delete Partition"

3. Click on Yes and its done safely.

Note: Its a safe method as the tool doesnt allow you to delete Primary or Active partitions.

1)if you have bootable windowsXp cd, boot up computer with it. when you select yes for installation, it will show alll partiton information, where you can delete or create new partition. after the partition is deleted, stop installation.

2)seagate bootable floppy or cd
DiscWizard Starter Edition (DWSE) size :1.4mb
this seagate software will help in harddisk format and has harddisk utilities.
you can quickly create or delete partition.
