hi

what do you mean by mods? i have seen the word used a coupleof times but have no idea.

Modifications (Mods) are the modifications for the game. Basically they have new levels, new textures, new characters etc. which can be installed after installing the game. The games which are famous in mod community are Quake 3, Half Life, Wolfestine, Max Payne, etc. Some are absolutely free like Team Fortress Counter Strike & can be downloaded from the net while some require to pay u before u play them eg. Age of Conquers-Rise of Rome is the mod for age of empires II which require u to pay. If u want to get free mods for HL,Quake,Max Payne just type "mods+<game name>" in google & goto site or goto FilePlanet & serach then under game name. After downloading them install & unzip them & activate it from game menu. Eg:-In case of Half Life goto Custom Missions & select the mod & click activate. Now get ready to boom & blast.

As SKapoor said Mods are short for modifcation. It can be a software mod or hardware mod. Or simply if there is a modification in Hardware then its a hardware mod and if there is a modification in software then its a software mod.

hmm wel they enhance ur game by adding more playbilty started by HALF LIFE the cult game hence forth has bees the most lookforward after the game actually releases earlier local prg. wul do this but now the gaming co have themseleves started doing it

in the beginning I used to like UT 2003 so much more .... but after playing half life ... lol .. I realised that UT 2003 was all eye candy ... half life counter strike has better gameplay and it rocks.
