Can we use netmeeting without Public IP?

I am using internet through local provider by cable. My IP is not public IP as my provider told me. I want to use net meeting . Is this possible ? or public IP is must for net meeting. I have windows 98 /XP both operating systems.

I think that should not be any problem as It makes no sense. Why don't u try to have some net meeting session. It'll let you know is it working or not. For more help, consult windows help on net meeting.
