Again try to Uninstall Yahoo! messenger. Then goto "Program files" folder and delete the folder "Yahoo!" (If exists). Now open "regedit" and nevigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\yahoo
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Yahoo
And delete both "Yahoo" keys!
Now try to reinstall Yahoo! messenger...

Yeah. Sorry wrong question. Completely lost my head there. I'm facing a problem with Yahoo Messenger too : Whener I click on a rollover button, my messg. closes and I'm logged out. I tried uninstalling yahoo, erasing the registry files for it and reinstalling, but the problem persists. Any suggestions ?

Seems that the problem is not in the s/w version but exists in the windows installed!
If u hv ne firewall installed, then try to stop it and then try to login in Yahoo! U can disable firewall's entry from startup and then after restarting the system check yahoo!

Sneha! Tell me one thing. R u able to login to Yahoo! within browser? If yes! Then its clear that ur account is working fine!
But if u r not able to login in browser also, then first try to Clear all cookies.
Sometimes the problem also exists with ISP, which net connection r u using?
And also take a look here:
yahoo messeger login problem
