Default CD Writer drive missing in 98

Dual boot with XP Home & 98.

Suddenly cannot boot into XP due to unknown reason. Norton GoBack did not help.

Wanted to backup datas to CD from 98 AND 98 FAILED TO RECOGNISE CD & CDW dive.

Tried to reinstall 98 , failed.

Any method to backup my data with nero CDs?

Thanks to you all. The trouble was due to NORTON GOBACK. After disabling it everything went fine.
ALL SHOULD BE VERY CAREFULL BEFORE INSTALLING NORTON GOBACK
