now the scenario is, i'm a final year student doing my engg in ExTC, mum uni.

i've been selected for Caliber Point as a Team Leader....

now the question is considering Caliber Pt is a BPO,
do u think i'll be wasting my engg degrre on a BPO job?
or i need to wait for an IT job?

which has a better prospect financially?
any other aspects which shud be considered?

What is the area of interest and strength?? I recommend u to wait for a job related to ur hardwork rather than that lead.

Well buddy, the choice of your job depends on your area of Comfort.

I am a B. Tech in Electronics & Comm. and working in a BPO. I enjoy my work, get a good salary and to sum it up, I am leading a good life.....

I don't have to bother about Deadlines and Promotions.

Within 6 moths I got promoted to the next level, and in another few months I will be the Asst. Mngr. for my process, thereby getting a pay 2.5 times present pay.

This is not my lone story, but I think many of the members will vouch for that.
The only difference in a BPO is that you will not be sent abroad by the company atleast till you grow beyond the Asst. Mngr. Level.....

One word of caution though, working in a BPO is not as easy at it seems. I had the same apprehension that you have when I decided to join a BPO....

Contemplate all your choices and set foot with caution.

Wishing you all the best for your career.

Love,
ECE0105
