well an "EXCHANGE" offer would depend from vendor to vendor dont u think ?
most of them dont buy buck old hardware ull have to ask ard .... read the classifieds ... to get rid of ur old rig

regarding the gfx prices have a look:
http://forums.tech-arena.com/showthread.php?t=11010 512 MB costs around 4500/- so 1 GB may be double. try to sell the mobo in the bazaar section. i don't think anybody will purchase. even ur local vendor will give just 1000/- if u sell only the mobo.

1GB RAM = 8000 bucks. And as for the graphics card whats ur price range ? and why 256 MB ? more memory does not imply better performance esp in the graphics card dept...
