Default Problem in computer

Hi

I have a p4 2.8 GHz , 512 RAM , 915 GAG comp with 6200 TC .
After Windows is loaded , the computer waits at the welcome screen for around 40 seconds before the desktop appers.

A toolbar name "AZE SEARCH " is appering in all the folder and explorer windows i open . It contains links to various travel sites , finance , porn etc so i think it is a sort of a spyware . I remove it from the view option but it still appers and my homepage is always changed to a diff site . I scanned my system with spyware doctor and stinger but they did not detect anything . How do i remove it .

I suggest one stop solution. Go for Lavasoft AdAware SE. It will take care of all such malwares.

For your first doubt, do you mean that your computer waits for 40 Sec before starting to load your OS, like what happens when you have dual OS...

No i mean it waits at the welcome screen after loading windows XP when you click on your username , the opening music is played immediately but it takes around 40 seconds to view the desktop.

Type the command "msconfig" in run and go to the startup tab and check if there is any software that shouldn't be there. This may happen of some software that is being loaded while startup. If you remove all softwares from Startup in msconfig that you actually dont need, you are sure to get a speedy start up.

Hi,
Download HijackThis and unzip it to dedicated folder (like C:\HJT\hijackthis.exe).
Then run it and click the button Do a System scan and save log file. HijackThis will perform a scan and opens up the log file.
Copy the entire contents of the file and post it here.
