Default Converting DVD ----Sound problem

I tried converting the DVD .vob file to divx format using dr divx but the output has some sound issues...The sound is not clear some humming(with some crackiling sound)is there in ripped file....

Virtualdub is not working for vob files...
Any idea how to get optimum sound quality...

and can anyone tell me why sound doesnt come when i rip dvd's using easydivx and set my sound options to mp3???????

hey i too have a problem when i ripped a vob file to vcd the sound comes after the actors say somthing theres is a lot of gap between the video and the sound
