Default System idle process

Hi,
I was just inquisitive about this ... when ever i open my Task manager to see what the cpu usage is, i find that about 99% use is by the System idle process ... What is this ??? ....

it means at that perticular moment ur CPU doesn't performing any operation

Thats normal. It just executes a HLT command for the processor to keep it cool. It uses idle time.. so dont worry!
