Bluetooth, remote and a PC

Is it possible to operate (switch-on, particularly) a PC using a remote like we operate a TV that too not using a Media Center PC....

Also I wanted to know if this kind of a remote can use bluetooth technology?

I know about Control Freak n have used it too....but I asked for somethin which may be able to "Switch-ON" the PC too....

Hmm.. that would require a bluetooth reciever wired to your SMPS. I dont think something like this is available. You would have to build it yourself from scratch! Hehe.

I do have a bluetooth dongle....is it possible do wat I asked for using my bluetooth dongle...Also, how much power does a bluetooth dongle requires?

I really dont think thats possible with the bluetooth dongle (though i may be wrong! hehe). About power consumption, it would take not more than 10 mili amperes. (the total power on a USB port is 500 mili ampere).
