Default what power supply should i ideally have ??

hi,

my pc config is

P4 1.6 GHz,
512 mb DDR ram,
120 GB (80+40) HDD,
samsung combo DVDR+CDRW drive,
GEFORCE FX 5200 Agp card,
Compro Video mate tv tuner,

plus a lan card, a printer (HP PSC 1410), a web cam etc...

what kind of a power supply is ideal for my config ?

my cabinet is certainly outdated and my upgrades have been over a span of 2 years, recently my pc started getting heated up since there is only one fan. A friend advised a change of cabinet and a bigger power supply. As far as budget goes... upto Rs. 2500 is ok....

Since that is ur budget,i would recommed u to go for a ANTEC 400-450 Watts Powersupply as that comes witha warranty and a complete peace of mind. But if u wanna save sum money, then i will recommend u to go for POWERSAFE 400 watts (approx. Rs.1950/-)

cheers n e-peace....

I think antec 400W will cost u around 3600 Rs. but it will give you a complete piece of mind and it comes with a massive 2yrs. warranty. I also thought of powersafe but the website doesn't give any technical specifications and noone sold in my city.. soo had to go with Antec Smartpower 400W, it's really efficient and sursprisingly quiet, even with the load that my powerhungry components puts on it..
