Default DVD Writer Help !!!


Hello all..

I recently bought a SONY DVD Writer DW-Q30A (OEM)

Since its an OEM Version i want to know wats the Max Spped it can Write a DVD.. The shopkeeper told its 16X..

How to check it..

And also its a Dual Layer DVD Writer..

I want to knw wats this Dual Layer.. can write for abt 8.7GB in a DVD.. How is it possible..

I cant understand this concept of Dual Layer..

Please help..

Dual layer dvds have, er, two layers on one side of the disc, so that the amount of writable surface doubles (almost). Hence 8.x GB.
