Urgent Help !!!

Hi all..

Prev i have asked our members on how to merge my OS Partition with another partition and got some sugg in usin Partition Magic to achieve my idea..

sterday i started the process and after an hour in our area thr was a power failure and my system came to a halt. It shutdowned.

Today mornin i switched on my sys and can c only 2 drives in place..

actually i had 5 partitions and can c only 3 partitions..

My OS partition is intact and another drive is intact in place.. the third drive is showin but if i try to open it its askin to format the drive..

I went to disk management and there it shows my another partition but it says its unknown partition..

but it shows the size as 19 GB and free space is 1 GB etc..

but its not shown in MY COMPUTER..

Is thr anyway to retrieve the unknown partition drive..

Please help me out..

dont try disc management..
infact give it a try with partition magic once again...
merge all the partitions except c:\
and when merging is complete u can divide it according to ur needs..

Actually i need the data frm my partition back.. this partition is shown in Disk Management as well as Partition Magic as Unknown Partition..

But its not showin in My Computer.. but the data are inside it..

dats what iam telling u...merge it with any drive....
say for eg u have data available in d:\ which is shown in partition magic but not in my computer,then simply merge it with c:\
in this case all the contents of d: will go into a newly created folder in c:\ ...
give it a try ....

I think i will xplain my partitions first..

I have a 80 GB HDD and hv partitioned it into 5 partitions..

5 GB 4 OS C:, 20GB 4 Appz D:, 20 GB 4 Moviez E:, 30 GB 4 Music F: and Vids and 5GB 4 Games G:..

Since i had only 5GB 4 OS it used to get full when i use Adobe and other Huge Appz.. So i tought of emptyin G: drive and merge it with C:

But when doin the process thr was a power failure and when i turned on again i culd c only C: Drive, E: drive and F: Drive.

When i accessed F: drive its askin to format..

But when i used Partition Magic the D: Drive shows as a Unknown partition..

I Now i hv formatted F: and its accessible now..

I tried to merge the Unknown Partition and E: drive

But it is not showin me options to select the Unknown Partition.. instead it shows only the E: and F: drives..

In the Merge Options i cannot use the Unknown Partition..

Wat els can i do..

u really are in a mess rite now..
according to u,u cant merge or infact do anything with unknown partition...rite??
and d:\ is shown as unknown...
so the only step left is to format the unknown drive.. i really have not faced such an issue..
so either wait for sumone to help u out or else give it a try and format the drive...

well dude try 1 thing
use PC Inspector File Recovery3 or 4 anything
and search for lost partitions using this
i m not sure that this will help but give it a try
u may get ur data back

All my office work are in the unknown partition rite now.. its abt 10Gb of data.. so i really need a soln to recover those data back..

So really need a soln..
