Default I Bet u ll solve this..

Hello!
A Question.
I have 1 HDD of 20GB. It runs Windows 98/XP (Dual Boot)
I have bought a new HDD of 80GB & Installed Win XP.

i.e now there r 3 OS on my PC.

I made the new HDD as HDD-0 & old HDD-1. I wana boot through the New HDD but it doesnt says OS not found. How do I boot? What changes ll i have to make?? && I wana make my New HDD partion(J drive) as C drive & the older HDD as the secondary.

At present every thing r workin fine when I boot through HDD-1(the old drive).

oo as for changing drive letters ...
hmmm
ok ...
either u can remove ur old disk and reinstall os on new hdd .. this will solve ur bootin problems as well ..and set the new one to c:
apart from that if u wanna change it .. u can use partition magic
theres an option in it ...
but before that since ur old hdd is showin c: ull have to convert it to d: or somethin else ..
this is gonna be a pain .. many software ... etc may not work by u changing the path !
so be careful with it

u can also use Win XP to change the drive letter

CONTROL PANEL > ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS > COMPUTER MANAGEMENT

Then on the left side choose Disk Management
Right click on the partition
Go to 'Change drive letter and path'

It is very difficult to change the boot partion letter i.e C. XP does not allow you to change this. Other drive letter can be changed easily. Take care for installed program path.
