increasing ram ???

my pc have 256 ram and the maximum graphic memory is 64mb and graphic
memory in use is 6mb.i have 845 onboard graphic card.can incresing the
graphic memory to 128 mb helps to improve the functioning of the game.please suggest me how to do this.

i think u r talkin abt the onboard gfx
tht is fixed
but think ur info is comin frm some intel video driver
tht is not wat is onboard exactly

i think 845 boards have a max onboard memory of 32mb depending on the model numbers

yes increasin the video memory does improve gamin
if u want to increase to 128 mb
then u have to go for an additional gfx card

but i suggest increasin ur ur RAM to 512mb first

u can change the settings from BIOS, go to video memory and increase the shared memory size to 32 MB, i dnt know abt 128 MB though.

i use the 915G mb where the onboard can be set up to 226 MB, its DVMT technology which dynamically alots the graphics memory as and when required so it dsnt affect system perform

But that is not prsnt on ur mb, so upgradation to 512 MB is a must.Or else u wont be able to work normally

you can not increase the graphics memory upto 128 Mb for onboard graphics, even 32 also. cuz 845 supports upto 12 MB [new bios, older versions supports upto 6]. if you see the 128 MB in the list, that is for the AGP cards.. you have to put the AGP cards size there.
