How to know which one is illigal

I m new in using bitTorrent I found many torrent files which seems to be illigal. How can i know which is illigal file and which one is not? and btw if illigal stuffs can be download so easily why not the bit Torrent is illigal?

BitTorrent is not illegal. The way of using it is.

Consider. Burning a CD is perfectly legal. But making a copy of Windows XP is illegal, So you wonder why all CD Burning Softwares are'nt illegal ????

the main difference between the two (burning cd and BitTorrent) is that if u want to burn XP CD which is illigal u have to find out XP operating system that is not so easy as finding illigal stuffs using BitTorrents and others

P2P is perfectly legal. Besides, it cannot be made illegal due to it's distributed and anonymous nature. The centralized one (napster) was pulled down, as you know. Do you know that most linux distros and indie albums/videos are available on p2p? This is the cheapest and best distribution medium.The only thing at fault is the licensing and copywright framework, afaik.

You can't, unfortunately, say which file is legal and hwich one is illegal by looking at the file name. most illegal releases are "released" by certain hacker groups and this fact will be advertised in the filename (reloaded, paradox). All the holl/bolly/etc movies and large s/ws are obviously illegal. As are keygens/cracks and sn files.

Thank u very much. One thing as far as i know Crack r not illigal. Its us who use crack without having the original cd. But we can use crack to protect our cd from scrach or like that.

siriusb is correct. Bittorrent is just a file sharing network. take for example i download many small videos like traillers,game play demos etc, which can easily be distributed, just like digit does with its videos . no legal/illegal issues here

Microsoft windows is one of the most pirated piece of software in this world, this does not make Windows illegal.

This is just a file sharing network, cant be made illegal, Most FTP's there carry illegal stuff, u ant declare that one who hosts an FTP server is doing something illegal.

Megaupload is often used to upload illega stuff, cant do anything about it.



Consider weapons, guns, etc... all are used to spread crime, but u cant ban their manufacture, because they are also used for secirity.
