Star in yahoo messenger

Hey..!!!
One of my friend showed a Star near one of his friends id in yahoo messenger list.

That star was in the left of offline icon in the messenger list.
Now can anyone tell me how that star appeard there?????????????

I guess you're new to Yahoo messenger.
Maybe, that was his avatar picture in the form of a star. Whatever avatar your contact chooses , appears before the left of the name.
You can choose your avatar as well.

1. Just open Yahoo Messenger.
2. Press Ctrl+Shift+K or go to Messenger Menu->My Display Image
3. Choose Share my picture and click Select...
4. In the window that opens, choose one of the pictures available or click Browse.. to choose your own.

Alternatively, you can create your avatar by clicking on Create Avatar in the first window.

hey yrana i beg to differ...........as per ranjit that star was shown when the person was offline......... that is a notification from yahoo that there are some changes in the profile/blog of that person(against whom the star was shown)........... avatar disappears when u log off

yes thats right. this star shows new profile or like that

actually, thou it means to hav some changes, there wasnt any change when i checked for the ppl who hav a "*"!! it has someting to do with yahoo 360 i believe.

Yup,that star indicates that the person has made changes in their yahoo 360 page.
