Default How to prevent pages from automatically refreshing in FZ 1.5


is there any way we can prevent certain websites/pages from automatically refreshing/reloading in firefox 1.5.Tried the Refresh Blocker extension but am not able to save changes in its options and pages continue to refresh automatically.

I didnt understand your question very well, but i think you're asking

check the remote page for a newer version than what might be in the cache
To change its values,
1. Open firefox and type about:config in the address bar.
2. Navigate to this entry: browser. cache. check_doc_frequency
3. Set its values according to given below:

0: Check once per browser session
1: Check every time I view the page
2: Never check (always use cached page)
3 (default): Check when the page is out of date (automatically determined)

the default setting 3 is ok, why do we need to change that ? wat's the benefit ? pls reply
