Default PC SHUTSDOWN AUTOMATICALLY

Hi friends.Myself is Shyam prasad mohanty from Angul, orissa. Ihave following problem with my pc. My pc shutsdown automatically after 1 hour after starting .It emits a scratching sound Just before switching off.The sound seems coming from cpu fan.I have to switch it on again and then this problem continues with decresing timegap. It dont shows any error message.Recently no major hardware or softeare changes is made to the system.I have tried everything to solve this problem including reinstallation of win xp pro along with drivers.

My pc configuration is p4 2.8Ghz,P4i65GV Motherboard from ASRock,40GB harddisk drive from samsung,52x cd RW from samsung, dvd rom drive from sony,2 DDR 128 MB RAM module.

My technisian saying that the cache memory of cpu is corrupted .Is it true? As 2.8 Ghz cpu is not availiable for 478 pin socket here,i have to go for either 2.4 Ghz cpu or 3.0Ghz cpu along with motherboard having LGA775 socket and 80 GB SATA harddisc drive. Please suggest a solution. Thank you.

Oh if you have a setting to change the temperature, set it to -50 Degree Celcius and overcloak like hell!!! Hehe...

Coming to the point, check the CPU fan for dust, and clean if necessary. Its most probably a heating problem.
