Default Data transfer

I have a 64kbps connection and my ISP is providing 128kbps with 2GB limit, when i asked him about how do i know the amount of data tranfer is over,he gives reasons and no answere. Now i want a software which can give me proper information about the data transfer as i use the connection.I want a software which can give me this detail for whole month...so please suggest me some software.
Let me be clear i dont want it for checking my speed but the data transfer while i use the connection.I hope i am not confusing anyone here.
