WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?

I installed VLC media player from nov issue of digit.Whenever i start a clip or any media file first the picture pauses while the time doesnot stops.When again i restart i can hear the voice of the first clip going on.But task bar doesnot show window of vlc player.Further when i turn off my pc,a window appears depicting vlc is going on if i press cancel or close my pc hangs .Why is this happening?

do u face the same problem with any other player? play the same file in windows media player or powerdvd and reply back pls.

No all other media files work finely.I had heard that vlc can play ne media file in ne format.Hens i installed it.

Try reinstalling...
Or why u use that just use Media Player 10..
Its good enough...

yes, VLC rocks true.. did u try the version 0.8.4 the latest one? hav a try coz i dont see any prbs with ur comp as no other players face the same problem.
