Default virtual pc issue


does anybody here uses virual pc??

i got virtual pc trial .. downloaded from microsoft

everytime i make a virtual machine .. i get an error "the virtual machine could not be started because there was not enough memory on the host"

my pc configuration is 128 mb ram .. windows xp operating system .. p3 processor

i have tried increasing the ram .. but no luck

i would be happy if anyone here knows the solution to the problem .. or alternatives to virtual pc software

please give me some names of the software who work like virtual pc .. coz i wanna practice networking .. and i dont have 2 computers .. i just have one comp

as for the error, i really cudnt figure out an idea, thou i googled to get one with the error u specified...

thats happens bcoz ur system does not have enough RAM to allocate to the virtual machine.Turn off any unnecessary processes such as antivirus etc. and all the other stuff in the taskbar.I also reccomend going in for more RAM cuz with 128 MB u'll be able to use only Win98 on a virtual PC,that too with very slow performance.I reccomend going in for atleast 256 MB of RAM.
