triband is actually a type of cellular phone that can work on three GSM frequencies...at 900, 1800 and 1900 Mhz....i don't know if MTNL has a broadband service called triband....cuz they ain't here in Chennai

yap. i also knew that triband is something related to GSM. but the other day, a friend told me that a cybercafe near his home has triband connection. i corrected him saying that it is broadband. then he reiterated that its not broadband but triband. having also heard about mtnl triband, i just wondered if it is any new kind of net connection
