use StartButton v 1.1.82 to change text
http://members.fortunecity.com/

or
mySb v 2.0.3.0
to change colour or button itself.

Make a backup copy of the file explorer.exe located at C:\Windows\explorer. Place it in a folder somewhere on your hard drive where it will be safe.

1. Get Resource hacker. If you don't have it, get it from here:
Resource Hacker
2. Start Resource Hacker and open explorer.exe located at C:\Windows\explorer.exe
3. The category to be used is String Table. Expand it by clicking the plus sign then navigate down to and expand string 37 followed by highlighting 1033.
578 will be currently showing the word “start just as it displays on the current Start button.

4. Select only the start word excluding the quotations & type whatever you like. It would be better if you choose a five letter word as longer words can cause later problems.

5. You’ll notice that after the new text string has been entered the Compile Script button that was grayed is now active.
Click Compile Script and then save the altered file using the Save As command on the File Menu. Do not use the Save command – Make sure to use the Save As command and choose a name for the file

6. Open run->regedit-> Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\ Winlogon
Double click the Shell entry to open the Edit String dialog box
7. In Value data: line, enter the name that was used to save the modified explorer.exe file. Click OK.
8. Close Registry Editor and either log off the system and log back in, or reboot the entire system

Let me warn you, these can lead to future conflicts & problems, especially when concerned with SP2.
