How to change startup sound !!!!!!!!!

guys i am bored of the same old startup sound in Win XP

can any1 suggest any procedure to change the startup sound of win xp pro ............

i have many wav files whc i want to insert .............

plz hlp !!!!!!!!

open control panel
then open "Sound and audio devices"
in this select the sounds tab
here in program events select "Start windows"
and then browse the wave file u want to set as startup sound

Yepp! That's it! There you find everything that makes win sound! So, not just the start, but the logon logoff and even refresh are changed there!!!

If u hav a MP3 to WAV convertor....just convert any of ur fav songs toWAV & add it to the folder:

X:\WINDOWS\Media

And u can set ur favorite song to play on booting the PC!!!

Just keep in mind that the max size of the WAV file shud not be too large....around 100 to 150 MB only....

HEY QM....

Thats why I mentioned that the file size shud NOT be bigger than 100 to 150 KB.....thats the size the rest of the startup sound files are...

So no significant change is there in the startup time....

Awwww.... I did NOT realise that poop.....Well 100 MB for a startup sound file!!!...Hehehe...that will screw up the system......

I do these to make my PC Sound crazy.. I use Sony Sound Forge and cut particular verses frm any songs like "Come On..Come on.." some funky words and save it as wav file.. also u can talk in ur mike and record ur voice and can put it in ur startup sound.. like Welcome Boss or anythin u like..
