Default how could digit manage 8.5gb dvd's


This month i, in december digit launched 8.5 gb dvd's silver coated bakside
are 8.5 gb dvd's available in indian market where could i get those .

well. ... 8.5 DVDs can b create donly by dual layer mech.!!!!! If there is only one side to the disc... then probabl;y the comp. is calculating it wrong... due to too many files on the DVD

i didnt understand of what u said
besides DUAL LAYERED is different from DUAL SIDED
digit dvd was DUAL LAYERED ( single sided )

hi!
In dec-2005 digit launched duallayer dvd's of capacity 8.5gb .Are they avialable in our indian market if they were anyone please help me to buy these empty duallayer dvd's.as i was staying in a remote area in andhra i coudn't get here.also i would like to buy those empty dvd's from any our digit members

I live in New Delhi.
As most of u must be knowing is that here in Delhi is Nehru Place, a heaven of hardware for computer geeks.
Dual layered DVD's (8.5 GB) are avalaible here but they cost a bomb.
One (yes, one) 8.5 GB DVD-R for Rs. 400-450 (yup, u read it right, 400-450) & that too a local one. Not a knownw brand.

Huh? Digit DVD is 8.5 GB in this issue? The normal one? Mine shows 4.31 GB. Or are u talking about those Gift DVDs?

I got time to open the magazine yday and then i saw the letter. So i posted it today in morning. Hope i'll get the gifts.
